Thank you Louise and John...I was so enthusiastic whilst painting it ...but then when I got it home I thought it was a mess! I tidied up one or two of the more unruly figures...my sword runs away with me on figures!!!

The shadows at dawn inspired this little plein air. Cameras never do them justice. I used almost every technique I know in this. This is St Francis Square with folks rushing to work amongst boxes of petunias.
