And a beautiful painting of a beautiful place, Terry. Bridges seem to be the thing with Michael's popping up right next to yours!

Lovely reflections and a beautiful painting

Lovely reflections and a beautiful painting

Wonderful watercolour Terry, lovely reflections.

Agree with all the above, great painting.

The bridge is very well drawn and painted and the sky and surrounding landscape support it well.

Two bridges next to one another... And nary a whit between them. Wonderful water and reflections.

Love it - love your style - my sort of painting - sorry I posted mine next to yours - didn't see it before I pushed the 'post' button but they do complement each other .

A lovely painting to add to your wonderful gallery

Perfectly painted Terry, a superb watercolour and what a wonderful gallery you have. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my Trossachs painting, it such a nice surprise when I read it this morning.

I particularly like the fresh sky in this one - I'm not sure what the blue is (a mix?) but it's very effective; would guess at pthalo. Your bridge complements Michael's - they're both different in treatment; and there's always a charm about old bridges - indeed, I rather like even modern bridges.... though they don't have the grace of this one.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Robert, I'm not sure what blue is in the sky either! Certainly Ultramarine, probably Cobalt and a bit if Cerulean, possibly a touch of Alizarin - plus some remains of whatever was in the palette pan last time I used it - I think!

I like everything about it :) especially the water and the bridge detail.

A number of people trying bridges so I thought I'd have a go! Based on a photogragh taken last week from the George Hotel at Chollerford on the North Tyne river. The remains (not much!) of the Roman bridge and Chesters Roman Fort on Hadrian's Wall are about half a mile downstream. This bridge though is, I believe, 18th. Century. A beautiful part of the country.
