A couple of days ago I found this painting of POPPIES and I thought it was missing something and I wondered about doing a backcloth of a landscape .... so biting the bullet I drew a small church on layout paper and decided that was it.. so laying it carefully I drew in the church. with watercolour pencils.. then having the courage of my convictions I carried on and put in the rest of the background freehand with watercolour pencils and added then water. so I have posted both paintings Before and After in the gallery. it is for the local Art groups to put into the Church's Remembrance Service… I think everyone is painting poppies ah well ...A3 ...
