Thistle leaves

It's super Fiona, I would leave without a background in this instance as it may take your eye off the main leaves. Lovely interpretation.

They are rather lovely Sylvia. I would also leave the background as it is because the leaves are so delicate.

You chose a hard piece to do Sylvia very good !

You don't choose easy subjects Sylvia....there is a lot of intricate work in this and it's a credit to your patience and skill.

Thank you ladies..... I really enjoyed doing it but think it needs more....may play with darker highlights ...ha ...not sure that makes sense but I think I know what I mean :)

Sylvia I don't feel you need to do any more you have drawn and painted this subject beautifully the background is a good contrast .when you say darker highlights do you mean more darker variation in the leaves perhaps on your next one ,This one is lovely .
