and its lovely Sylvia, interesting that you used those Museum Aquarelle coloured pencils as well of course, did you see the gallery on this website of the entries to that Caran D'ache competition? what an eye opener that was of the amazing things other people had able to come up with just those 6 colours, some super landscapes using virtually all the 6 colours as well, this one of yours is looking really super already, cant wait to see it with the water added!

I do like the addition of the pencils, Sylvia. It has a very rich finish, which I love, and the atmospheric perspective is beautifully done.

This sketch has a lovely golden 'glow' to it Sylvia, using the Museum Aquarelle pencils has I given it a real depth of colour.

And its a good one, hope you enjoyed your holiday, its a great place to be.

Once more thanks for looking and commenting. i am a bit wary of adding water....still nothing ventured. !

Nice composition with us just seeing the body of the trees and the water beyond. It works wonderfully well and this is, of course, another of your wonderful plein air sketches.

Those pencils seem to work beautifully for you Sylvia and it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Great, waiting to see next stage :o)

I started and posted this last month whilst on holiday in Kefalonia. I posted it a few pics back A frustrating sketching session as the world and his wife decided to sit with me, look over my shoulder and generally stop " the flow" . So have worked into it with the Caren d ache Museum Aquarelle pencils ( i didn't enter the comp had nothing ready) My next step is to add water, Having such a limited range of colours it will be interesting to see what happens. So this is my " interim picture" .
