I can feel the desolation & the dry heat in this one. A feeling I can do with as I'm freezing here in Derbyshire!

Lovely delicate colours...I particularly like the right hand tree there are a few paintings to be made from that reference.

I never made it to Namibia, even though I lived 'next door' in Botswana for a while. You have captured the moment, and I recognize this type of tree as there were many like this living and dead, where I lived on the edge of the Kalahari. No place here to hide from the sun!

Another painting in Namibia. One of my very precious moments.. if you look at my blog this is the picI am painting for my profile ( Bright shiney day) This place is just magic and at this moment there was no one elase just colour, shape and heat. I used oil pastel to convey the high lights on the petrified trees.
