Thank you Margaret Nisbet, Heather Love, Carole Kelly and Maureen Sherman! I have been given a wonderful opportunity to paint a series of single mums in their homes. They are all friends who meet once a week in a methodist church in Bermondsey. What binds their friendship is their struggle make ends meet under the universal credit system. I have been asked to document their lives in paint. The paintings will accompany a drama to be performed in parliament in May. It's been a privilege to hear their stories whilst I paint them
