Lovely portrait delicately done. Great look in the eyes. Well done. NB. Not sure if you are new to the gallery, but could I ask you to consider only posting one or two paintings in future as when an artist loads a number of works, it knocks everyone else's work off the front page of the gallery where they need to be for as long as possible so as to gain comments, advice, etc. We are having quite a problem with multiple postings and are trying to gently suggest a different format in the future. Hope you don't mind me mentioning it. Love to see your work in future, but a steadier pace perhaps?

Beautifully done wonderful use of colour ...thank you for your kind comments..I have up loaded the finished piece which is 36 x48 inches

Thea, so sorry to get it wrong on the first attempt! Will be more careful next time. Can I suggest it is clearer in the instruction? Thanks both for your comments.

Lovely portraits too, very expressive.

Sue - I hope I haven't put you off or made you feel unwelcome. The total opposite is true - we love to see newcomers on the site. Sometimes you are not sure if the poster is a newcomer or someone who doesn't post very often - so I apologise for some of your first contact being a tad censorus. We have a problem with multiple postings on the gallery page for the reasons I put above. The POL team are trying to address this issue and nobody is sure what they plan to do, hence there is no instruction about it. A lot of people on the site would like to see a guideline which asks people to post no more than one painting in a 24 hour period, just to give others a chance to be on the front page long enough to get a comment or two. The problem arises also with people who have used the site for a while and are not opening a new portfolio each time they post a painting, so when their work goes off the front page is disappears into the mists of their gallery. New portfolios can still be seen if you click on page 2, 3, 4, etc under the list of new paintings, but these are only the new portfolios and the ones that have been set up for a while will end up on page 25+, etc - never to be seen again unless someone is doing a determined search. I do understand that when you join the site, you will have several paintings that you want to put in your gallery. However, these will always go straight to the front page and thus the problem. I know when I joined and didn't realise the problem with this issue, I banger umpteen paintings on at one, but then quickly realised the problems is caused and now only post one at a time (can't paint any faster than that now anyway!!). Anyway - a warm welcome and sorry if the note caused any problem.

Thanks for the explanation and advice-I really took no offence-thanks for your positive comments and I will just do one upload at a time in future.
