My attempt at Murray Ince's Between the Lines, Line and monochrome wash (Leisure Painter April 2020). I really enjoyed this exercise and I was quite pleased with the results, although I have't left enough sky in the picture above the trees. Never mind all good practice for a beginner! You learn a lot from using one colour only.

I am quite new to art and painting. I decided to take up this new hobby just 1 year ago in 2019, following retirement. I am pretty much self taught so far. I enjoy watercolours and pastels, though I am trying out various mediums as I am just an enthusiastic beginner.
