Hi Sue, I love the detail in his eyes and the colouring of his coat. He simply 'jumps out' at you, ready to be stroked. A truly remarkable painting.

In response to your comment on my wolf, I shall have to try Fisher 400 because this is stunning- fabulous eyes . Do have another go with velour; it's really good for animals but not for landscapes or portraits.
