Super portrait and lovely vibrant colours. The eyes are very good indeed. This is rather in the style of Jean Haines - just wondered if you were a fan of her work.

Thank you all! Thea, yes I am a fan of Jean's and a friend. I'm honoured that you could spot her influence in this painting, she will be thrilled! I flit around a bit at the moment trying to find my own style! Chris and Brian, I was trying hard for vibrancy and looseness (though not quite as loose as Jean's recent work) and to capture the character of the face, so your comments have made me very happy!
