Just beautiful, you've really captured the mood, I can feel the warmth of the day. Excellent

You're quite right about the convenience! This may be small but it is perfectly formed. Gorgeous.

Good idea - I have access to a large garden, and hardly ever use it: must reform! Beautiful painting, because it's strong, direct, unfussed, well-composed, and the colour is fabulous (hate it apart from all that, obviously!).

Cheers Gwen,Gudrun and Robert, All the best, Steve

Not really a fan of still lives, but this is really good.

A really lively little panting Steve. I am very tempted by the idea of painting in the garden and I look forward to seeing more of yours.

Always find your brush strokes lively and appealing Steve. So little detail but a pot full of interest!

Cheers Stephen, Glad you like it. All the best, Steve.

Thanks Julie, Get in the garden and give it a go...we wont always be so spoilt with the weather :-) All the best Steve.

Cheers Fiona, Thanks for that. All the best, Steve.

What a beautiful little painting, so real.

Thanks Karyl, All the best, Steve.

This is great Steve, you are right of couse about the ideal place to do any garden and botanical artwork

Cheers Ros, Thanks for looking. All the best, Steve.

Utterly lovely! Should be in next month's hot-picks gallery or whatever it's called. You inspire me to go out there and paint my garden = neglected but still luscious jungle!

Thanks very much Fran, All the best, Steve

The little pink geraniums stand out so well against that sunny green.

Cheers Carole, So that's what they are :-) My wife plants geraniums; she's the gardener, and in my ignorance I paint nice looking flowers. All the best, Steve

Thanks Lesley, All the best, Steve

Thanks Sarah, All the best, Steve

15 cm x 12 cm oil on canvas paper. The easiest place to do still life is in your own back garden. There'll never be any regrets about what you forgot to bring, just pop back indoors and get it. You can always find shelter if it's too wet, warmth if it's too cold, or this weather, shade if it's too hot.
