Greta title - certainly made me smile. I like the out of focus background - it adds to the movement of the bee. The simple rendition of the flowerhead works well too. for my taste, the bee is a little too large and overpowering, but thats a point of view, and not a comment on what is a fine painting.

Sorry, I meant "Great Title", not Greta. Your name's not Greta, obviously..................... going now.............

Lovely painting. I like your seascapes too.

Gorgeous Steve, love the hazy background and your 'Bombus' is beautiful.

This has lovely movement; very effective and beautiful to look at.

Lovely looseness, super colours and a great title - what more could anyone want?

Very attraactive painting, 'The buzz of Summer'!

Love the plush of colour for the hint of the bee's body in this one Steve and those legs as well, they make this painting for me, it is full of everything that is summer in the garden!

That was supposed to say love the splash of colour, Steve this iPad has predictive text on it and it does my head in I have to say!!!

Cheers Ros, All the best, Steve

22cm x 14cm oil on canvas.A bee trembled spray of lilac and green; lavender released perfumed air under a gentle shudder. I’ve never seen so many bees on one plant. Hovering like black and yellow flowers, they set to work on the tips of this well farmed plant, from sun up to sun down. It’s easy to overlook what's under our nose.Up close there were 3 types of bees throbbing away, engrossed in activity. That was Sunday in a sun drenched garden. Bank Holiday Monday was drenched in rain, and the lavender stood silent. Looking closer though, it’s still full. It has a bee sheltering under every flower; no doubt praying for the sun, thinking… time is honey.
