Two excellent paintings here! You always manage to make everyday scenes of Liverpool into such good paintings. I especially like this one. It's a very strong image of an everyday scene and it works so well. I really like all of your work though I'm not sure that I'm a good enough artist to give my opinion! You must know how good you are!

Thanks Louise, Glad you like them. I like painting the ordinary, especially with the iconic lurking in the background. In answer to your question, all art is seen as good, bad or indifferent; I just think I can’t get any worse if I keep practicing. This is a great example of your loose style Steve with super light and shadow, you are brilliant at these closed in type of scene with buildings all around that make for complete paintings out of quite basic street scenes that you just give life and interest to
