Stephen this painting is obviously telling a story. I didn't like to say but I had the feeling this meant something regarding same sex relationship. I think it is a very poignant painting. Beautifully painted with feeling. You should be very proud. Love the tear. PS I would like to thank you for your very kind comment on the Monet - much appreciated.

Jeannette..thank you so much for your comments they are really appreciated, and yes you are right this is a story about a same sex relationship. Apart from dabbling with gouach in 1985 I haven't painted until 2010, but now retired I can devote time to this wonderful hobby. I'm self taught and am reading book after book about art. I look around me and see so much beauty, even in the mundane things to do with life. But am at the moment experimenting and learning all the time and going to attempt a portrait of an Indian lady next, but want to do some landscapes and try to use different techniques. I have viewed your other paintings, which are magnificent and love the use of colour...it is awesum..... you have inspired me .I adore gardens and think they are a great source of inspiration. Sorry for rambling, better sort the next painting out.

i have really enjoyed looking at all your portfolios. you have certainly been prolific and i enjoyed the differing styles. your landscapes are beautiful you have manged to avoid too much detail and deliver the sense of the place with beautiful colours. l I have chosen to comment on this painting as its is truly original i love the contrast betwween the blue face and the black figures on the beach this pictures tells its story. i think paintings should evoke emotions from the viewer it may be that they arent always what we intended which what makes it so interresting. your still lives are elegant with a delicate touch i will be watching for more. thankyou for your feedback it is encouringing
