Extremely good digital painting Stephen!

Love the results. Wouldn't know we're to start with this media.

I see from your gallery that you are a very accomplished artist. Some great sketches. Ersoy is super. I would like to know what technique you used. Do you use a graphics tablet such as a wacom where you draw/paint onto the tablet while looking at the monitor, or an ipad type device where you can draw/paint directly? What graphics program were you using? Did you use a photographic image as a background layer. It's hard to judge the quality of a digital painting without knowing how it was done. If this is from scratch,it's brilliant.

It's all about technique and ability ... it shines through.

thanks for all your comments. Andy.... I use a program called Photoshop.. i am very familiar with the program as i use it in my full time work as a digital artist. I use a wacom tablet and look at the monitor. Ive heard dodgy things about Cintiqs (direct on the monitor). I would paint it from scratch..using my own photo as a reference not as a background layer. the same as if i was to use photoref in a traditional painting.. I can completely understand how many traditional artists feel about digital 'fine art' Its alot more satisfying to paint traditionaly. Digital is a fast way to explore ideas.

Thank you for your reply. I think your painting is absolutely fantastic. I feel I can make an informed judgement, as I too have a Wacom tablet & use photoshop 5.1. but cannot come close to your skill level & have never completed a digital painting that comes close to acceptable. I find it easier to paint in the more traditional method. I sometimes use photoshop to assemble a collage of ideas, that I then print off & then paint in the usual way. I hope you were not offended by my question. I'm sure you will appreciate more than most that it is easy to paint with these programs using a background layer, sampling & painting over the top, use the clone & smudge tools here & there & then deleting the background layer. An exercise in futility in my opinion. So, you have gained a fan Stephen. I shall look out for your work.
