Japonism was popular in 19th Century Europe. Van Gogh and others were avid collectors of masters such as Hokusai or Hiroshige. This is my study to understand one of Hokusai’s images.

I retired after a career as a clinical researcher. Art was and remains a relaxation activity. Mostly, I am self taught with a few individual professional tuition sessions. So, my work is mostly experiment to try to make something pleasing and to record the beautiful things around us.
