Sunflowers have inspired artists of all abilities. The challenge of painting this version was to provide enough contrast between the sunflower itself and the green background
About the Artist
Stephen Gillespie
I retired after a career as a clinical researcher. Art was and remains a relaxation activity. Mostly, I am self taught with a few individual professional tuition sessions. So, my work is mostly experiment to try to make something pleasing and to record the beautiful things around us.
