Many thanks Denise and Thea for your encouraging comments. Actually Thea, the weather was more like the 'English' Lake District for most of the time! This was taken on the best day when we had a tour of the lakes - Maggiore, Como and Orta, which was super. Another trip to (try) to see the Matterhorn, was ruined by a sudden Alpine snow storm, we had to catch a train back as the coach was stuck! still we intrepid Brits soldered on!
