You've certainly beefed up the shadows in this one and it works to make the sunlight look a lot stronger, which I am presuming was your intention. Looks great now.

Many thanks Thea, I think I learned something from this one. I initially painted the shadow areas too pale and then over painted, getting the correct tone but making it a little muddy. must remember to test the strength of the washes before painting?

had another go at this, this time using watercolour and a hake brush, tried to get strong tones in it.
