The lovely deep shadow in the foreground really sets the rest of the painting up Stephen. It gives the feeling of the watery sunshine and long shadows of Autumn, great colours and tones in the background trees too......smashing!

Lovely soft warmth to this, Stephen. I love the subtle gentle sky, and the distant trees. The whole perspective is good too. Nice one!

A classic Slater, but with artist licence you could have added the canal.
