A strong feeling of oil super techniques Stephen

Nice textures Stephen, and I like the way the path leads up to that white fence/bridge and then the eye is led round to the building. Good composition.

This is such a simple scene, yet it captures everything about the moment. Superb work, Stephen!

Many thanks Dennis, Sharon and Seok for your encouraging comments.

Have you changed papers Stephen, this looks to be quite a heavy weight paper, shows lovely textures throughout the painting and really adds to the tonal washes.

Thanks Fiona, it is the same paper, 140lb Waterford Rough, on a block. These last few are smaller though, 10x7", so I suppose I zoomed in closer with the camera which shows the grain more?

Lovely warm strong colours Stephen. As Dennis says, it has the feel of an oil.

Many thanks Marjorie, the washes are quite strong in this one.
