Village near Preston by Stephen Slater

You've captured that quiet village feel Stephen. Nice work!

It's just lovely Stephen. Would have like it a little brighter though, or is it my eyes? Never mind.

No apologies necessary Kal. One thing that does look strange is the trees behind the house on the right. In the photo they were some sort of evergreen which I doubted if I could paint. So I decided to make similar to the other trees, unfortunately the now look as if they are standing on a hill behind the house!

It could be a village I once resided in. I would like to see more textures and colours in the structures.

Many thanks Derek for commenting. I've remembered now, it's Waddington village. This is looking down the street the Anglican Church is on., I did not have long to draw and paint this as it was at the art group, so I went for a quick rendition, as you say some more detai texture would add to it but I would probably over so it!
