I looked at the exhibition of some of Leonardo da Vinci's wonderful drawings in Manchester Ar Gallery earlier today. Interestingly the comments of the drawings stressed his constant application and determination to capture the subject before him. Perhaps a lesson for us all? Still down to earth with this little charcoal drawing, 'inch by inch' as the saying goes!
