I like this latest technique. Great work. Those tall mountains make this boat even more lonely looking.

Many thanks Ibolya. I do find the pen and Inktense pencils combo works well for outdoor sketching and imaginary 'doodles' like this one. The inktense pencils give a much cleaner, more transparent colour than other watercolor pencils. A handful of pencils, an art pen and a water brush make a very convenient way of making quick sketches on holiday. I am sure you will find them good to use.
