I added a little colour to this one with some Inktense pencils, I think the colour is cleaner than with watercolour ones. The many was very naughty walking on the grass but added a little interest to the scene.

It's a lovely composition Stephen. Nice leading line to the bright focal point.

Like this...... lines and colours.

Many thanks Kal and Avril.

I like this Stephen - it has an abstracted feel with the pen lines criss crossing. I've not used inktense pencils and they look good here. This would also make a good oil painting with the path leading in.

I like this one Stephen great atmosphere and i particularly like those foreground shadows as they give this piece real depth .

Many thanks Pat and Dennis for your comments.

I started something similar to this myself the other day Stephen, a woodland scene with paths leading away and around a bend, adds that bit of mystery. I love the freedom of the pen marks, it has a real easy feel to it.

Lovely quality of techniques here Stephen

Many thanks Fiona, Gudrun and Dennis for your kind words, I really enjoyed sketching this out in the sunshine, I always prefer the work I do in situ.

You are really getting out there - sketching in the nice weather we have been having, eh? Well, it has been well worth it as your have been producing some super sketches that are loose and lively. This one is no exception.

Thanks again Thea, most appreciated.

I do like the almost scribbly pen lines here. Bold, confident and lively. Excellent sketch Stephen!

This is excellent Stephen - love the pen marks.

Many thanks, Louise, Dympna and Glennis for your kind wor

Great sketch Stephen, the Inktense looks good.

Thanks Carole, I do like the Inktense pencils and blocks, are very transparent when you add water to them.

Love the bold and vibrant lines, and the subtly beautiful washes, Stephen.
