Lovely drawing of the canal Stephen and for me all the more interesting for the use of Inktense blocks, I have some of the pencil versions and am having quite a bit of fun dabbling with them, they have certainly added some colour to your drawing here

Very nice composition - like the figure in red disappearing into the distance. I think it would make a great painting as long as you kept to the style of this one i.e. undefined and very immediate looking.

Lovely painting Stephen

Many thanks everyone for your kind remarks.

It would make a good painting = would you maybe carry the shadow from those foreground trees right out into the water?

Well spotted Robert, it looks a bit odd with the shadow ending at the edge of the tow path. I added the shadow, as it was quite a dull day when I took the photo.

yes - you must have a go at painting it - great sketch

Thanks for your encouragement Michael.

A quick sketch with Inktense blocks from a rather dark photo. I originally just used a grey, then added some colour, I think it looked better with the tonal version. I might try to turn it into a painting at some point.
