Rambling on Las Ramblas, Barcelona by Stephen Slater

You must look a little deeper in your sketch books and post some more - this is so spontaneous and works so well. -

Many thanks for your encouragement Michael, I'm afraid most of my sketches are not too great but I do quite like this one. I might put it into a little frame to remind me of my holiday.

Stephen, this is delightful. I know the Ramblas well, we are extremely lucky as my m-in-law is from Barcelona so we go regularly and stay nearby. You've caught the spirit in your quick sketch, and the roof of the little booth is spot on. Reflections in the rain, lovely.

I wish I could do sketches like that, this is so full of life and those wet reflections are great.

Lovely work Stephen, you have captured the individuality of each of the people with minimal brush strokes and they all have lovely relaxed look to them, lovely use of light and shadow as well, lovely washes
