Winter Sunset, Hartshead Pike

Wonderful feeling of autumn light or that time of the evening when everything can look golden. A very simple scene made interesting by lovely brushwork and a good composition. I like your two little figures as they draw the eye into the painting.

Is this really the same painting Stephen? So glad you had another go at the photo because this is superb. You have made the whole thing so interesting with your brush strokes; some go horizontal, some vertical and some diagonal ( as in the clouds) and everything pointing to the 'pike'. Beautiful colours too.
