Not only are you a lovely painter Stephen you are also a lovely person, volunteering for the elderly. I do hope that they really take to the inktense blocks.

Lovely warm and colourful image Stephen

Many thanks, Sandra and Dermot. I think I get more out of my weekly trip to the home than they do.

That’s a terrific idea Stephen! I hope there will be a kind and gentle person like you that will give me the opportunity to still create, when I’m put away! Lol My mother was in a care home for a couple of years and I would take my pet ferrets in to see her, she loved it and so did one or two of the other residents. I’ve never tried inktense but the seem to be popular at the moment, you certainly know your way around them. Enjoy the sunshine next week.....I’m not jealous one bit!

Many thanks Fiona, a lady comes into the home with a little dog who is the most loved visitor! I do like Inktense, it comes in pencils and little blocks, they are much clearer than standard watercolour pencils. I always take a few on holiday with me, along with a water brush.

Another good one Stephen, and aren't we all !

Many thanks Richard.

An Inktense work for a change. An antidote to the cold outside. A simple subject I I could try with people at the Methodist home I volunteer at. I think the inktense blocks might be easier for old hands to work with.

About the Artist
Stephen Slater

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
