Hi Robert, No, this one is painted digitally using Corel Painter although I also painted a 'real' one in acrylic on canvas.

Hi Squirrell - What interesting work you do. I am very interested in your 'digitally painted' technique! There is something very pleasing about your simple designs and creative textures. I don't suppose you ever studied art at Colchester? There once was a Squirrell (or was it Squirrel?) there... I find your work very attractive and I am glad to have seen it here

Thank you Selina, I paint digitally in the same way as I paint on canvas - with lots and lots of layers. I studied art at the University of Greenwich, not Colchester, so it must have been another Squirrell!

I must have a try of it (digital painting) myself, seriously. So far all I manage to do is adulterate photographs! Not very impressive! Did you teach yourself or does anyone cover such a thing with a course? I have 'improved' rather boring sketches by digitally painting into them afterwards.

I taught myself, although I'm sure that there are courses out there too. As with all things, the more you practice, the better you get. Hours of messing about with the program while my other half watches bad TV shows has helped my technique no end!
