Portrait class is paying off. Might have to join one myself...

This is extremely good Linda. Love your skin tones.

Lolvely portrait, Linda, very well painted.

Cats? It is a lovely portrait Linda. A certain intensity about it. Well done.

Thanks for all your positive comments. "Cats" was meant to read "Cass", but predictive text took over.

You must have a good tutor. She is lovely and I like the skin tone colours.

Yes my tutor is really good, her advice is always spot on and she is also very encouraging and personable. Her name is Fiona Guy. I cannot recommend her enough.

Hello Linda I hope you don't mind me leaving an answer to a question you asked of me on your posting page. You could always delete it. The colours that I use for my pastel pencil life drawings are sanguine, ultramarine, yellow ochre and white. I use black sparingly unless there is a lot of black hair. I think you are right about not many people drawing from life. I don't know why as it does make any artist look very hard at the life model. Many more colours can be seen. I think I am very lucky with my art group having up to 3 weeks ( 9 hours ) to complete a picture with the same pose. I don't know where you live but if you are ever in South East London do pop into our group. ( Dulwich Art Group try Google). Do keep posting your life drawings - I will look out for them.
