I started off with saturated paper and let the landscape emerge from the watercolour washes finding their natural position on the paper, then added finishing detail in the foreground with the daisies and buttercups. Hopefully it is evocative of a Spring Meadow with a lone tree and soft, rolling hills in the distance.
