You've certainly caught this haughty lady, excellent likeness.

You certainly have caught her 'haughtyness', she is really looking down her nose! love the pearls and the view from the window. Nice one, Skylar!

Super likeness Skylar, you have caught that superior, upper class stare so well.

A brilliant likeness of a very famous Actress

Stunning Skylar, but lets have some younger women please....

I prefer Maggie to Marilyn. This is brilliant, spot on!

Brilliant likeness! Your talent shines through Skylar, really talented.

Spot on. Love the way you have caught her expression.

Magnificent. The pearls are so luminous Skylar.

Maggie to a "T" Skylar - one of my favourite actresses! The character lines in her face (I refuse to call them wrinkles) must have been hard to do. Her pearls look magnificent. A lovely job!

Leslie - Thank you! I have been working on this image for quite a long time. To get this look, I did not refine any paint strokes (Except in that Helmet of hair. The Bkg is not from the series. I wanted to keep the palette to those oh-so-understated earth tones.

Jennifer - Thanks so much! Those pearls were a pain. The view out the window is a previous painting of mine.

Stephen - Thank you! That look really is everything. I have loved M.S. since the "Prime of Miss Jean Brody".

Tao - Thank you so very much!

Peter- Ha! This isn't a porn site!! Now, calm down, man!

fred - Thanks. I'm not sure you can compare them, but thanks! It was a juxtaposition, tho. (One had to be smoothed out, the other was like a sheet left in the dryer. Mixed metaphor, sorry.)

Margaret - Thanks so much! A piece like this takes a lot of concentration and time.

Sandra - Thank you. I actually had to do some correction to get that look, that arched brow.

Carole - Thanks! I had to basically paint every inch of those pearls, then add that pure white highlight.

Adele - I have Many of those Character Lines, myself- something of which I'm quite familiar!

I've never watched the programme, but of course we all know Maggie Smith - and how imperious she can look. This gets her nicely. Paint, or digital media?

Hi, Robert - this is Digital, from scratch. The room and view are of my creation. I have gotten to the point now where I apply the same aesthete whether oil, acrylic, pastel, wc, or digital. (You should watch the series - really fun. Maggie steals every scene she is in.)

Thank you, Nicholas!

Her age and expression captured so well

Excellent Maggie.
