Foliage is a challenge, as you say. Great shapes and overlapping and merging of shapes! The added pink drew me to this sketch Shirley.

A really good sketch Shirley. You seem to know exactly where to place the paint brush. Those dabs of colours are perfectly placed. I've been looking at this one for some time, the shapes and patterns formed from those brush strokes are lovely!

Always loved drawing and painting. Studied biology at UEA, PGCE at Sussex, then part-time art studies at Sussex and Brighton, including printmaking. Before Covid I gave a little weekly watercolour class for 7 years. Now I am using acrylics on canvas and paper en plein air whenever possible.
