Lovely colours, Shirley.

Gorgeous Shirley love the colour combination.

Thank you very much, Cesare and Fiona. Hoping to improve my colour awareness.

Alls well in Rosie's garden. Difficult subject , with tricky perspective on those chairs, but a great effort and combined with an unusual but nice palette. Works well.

Lovely painting Shirley.

Thank you Andre and Dennis. Yes it was a strange palette. I picked three tubes of colour to go to Rosie's, and then improvised as best I could. The colours were Madder Lake Deep, Ultramarine, and Azo Yellow Deep. The combinations were interesting, but the bright sunlight and moving shadows were quite foxing! I added some washes of lemon yellow later, which helped distinguish the background and foreground. But the mood of these colours seems to me strangely Renaissance or Baroque??

A real Autumnal feel to this Shirley. The colours certainly work well, especially the blue which pulls it all together nicely.

Love this, the chairs and tableare cleverly painted Shirley.

Your depiction of Rosie's garden makes me want to visit! Excellent watercolour.
