This is a very clever idea Shirley, you've transformed it, and I love the addition of the collage element.

Thank you, Dennis, Carole and Fiona. The collage element was just a lucky accident really. I saw it sitting there when I cut it off, and thought it might look interesting on the picture. Funny how it all works, isn't it.

That's an interesting idea and the piece of collage material really makes you look into the painting. Lovely subtle colours as well. Great stuff!

Development of picture previously posted as "Shoreham from Above". I removed the post in the foreground, developed the colour, and used a small segment of collage (from cropping the picture), placing this across the centre of the picture.

Always loved drawing and painting. Studied biology at UEA, PGCE at Sussex, then part-time art studies at Sussex and Brighton, including printmaking. Before Covid I gave a little weekly watercolour class for 7 years. Now I am using acrylics on canvas and paper en plein air whenever possible.
