It sounds and looks idyllic - what a lovely way to spend a morning and come home with an equally lovely result.

A lovely loose watercolour Shirley.

i really like the loosness in this painting, very effective, :-)

Lovely watercolour Shirley, like the loseness and the brightness.

There isn't a better way to spend your time especially when you have a great result like this.

Very pretty scene and very nicely painted too.

All your kind feedback has added even more to the pleasure, thank you. I am trying to understand the colours in watercolour and to paint directly with bright colour, letting the chemistry happen on the page. It's endless fun.

very very nice gellery shirley ! Congratulations I love your landscapes

Morning sketching in the lovely Grange Gardens, Lewes. Chatting to other painters passing by, and sitting on a hexagonal bench, built round a tree, dedicated to the memory of a local artist, writer and Quaker.
