Doesn't matter if the likeness is good or not (and I wouldn't know) but the result is great fun and the colouring is just right

I shouldn't laugh, but these two do look rather funny sitting side by side here..I'm not sure if I've learned anything by doing this except that realising possibly, a lot of mark making is done from memory and practice. Good fun though and well done for having a go..

Fabulous!!! I must try to do it too!

Well done Shirley, but I have to say I didn't recognise you! What a strange looking lot we are!

It is fun as you have to use your memory! But the hand_memory coordination is a bit tricky to say the least. Not enough of a smile on mine! (Thanks Christine, Michael, Gudrun, Satu and Michael, and Louise.) Back to the painting...eh, Thea?

Nice one Shirley!

Wonderful portrait - a lady with a quizzical look on her face. I think the method of drawing has injected real character into the features and the dynamic lines enhance this. I love all these portraits as they are so fresh and inventive. If you have another go, try not to lift the pen off the paper and do it all in one continuous lines. I had a photo of myself in front of me and I kept my eyes on that and tried to 'feel' where I was in relation to the image in front of me - found it very hard to do. I think contour drawing is a great method and one which I will keep practicing I think.

I love the colouring, these portraits are super fun!

My go at Thea's challenge- draw yourself without looking at the paper. Colour added later! Not sure who it looks like!
