Llyn Padarn

A lovely painting,of a lovely place. One of the gems of Llanberis, with the Vivienne quarry as a backdrop. Really nice work.

Yes - I can imagine quite a few people looking at this and thinking 'All those greens! Oh she's brave....' - They frighten a lot of people, but if you had lacked confidence in mixing them you couldn't have painted this: you'd have ended up with a green mass and mess - and it would have been so easy to do. But you didn't! Very well painted, and Llyn Padarn - where I've not been for around 50 years - is indeed a lovely place.

This is such a lyrical painting. I love it. Colours, contrasts, your use of highlights and the very real feel of the rocks. Beautifully composed.
