Shelter from the Storm by David Cotton
Today, I decided to step completely out of my comfort zone. Moving away from the bright, open greens of my usual landscapes, I challenged myself to capture the moody atmosphere of a rainy city night. For a moment in the middle of the painting, I wasn't sure if it was coming together! But by using white and colored pastels to create a misty glow in the sky and the shimmer of wet reflections on the pavement—the scene finally clicked. The question is what do you think lies ahead
