You manage contrasts so well Sean; lights/darks, fluid washes/dry brush...added together with that all important touch of atmosphere.....beautiful.

Those contrasting elements are critical in creating impact: so to your lights/darks, fluid washes/dry brush...added together with that all important touch of atmosphere... I would had cools/warms; big shapes/little shapes and the all important design principles of conflict and dominance.

Thanks Barry. I'm glad you noticed that "staged" part of the painting behind the main building and of course focal point. I'm really please with the mountain and majestic is a good description. I used a limited four colour palette for this painting and I feel that I achieved a good harmony.
