Lovely, Simple and lovely.

It's great Satu, I really like the simplicity of it. It would make a good collage too!

Mmmmmm...... One of my favourite Still Life subjects. Who got to eat them afterwards? A mouthwatering painting in every way Satu.

Also, it's very difficult I think to keep it so simple and yet be so effective.

It says everything you need to know; two shinny, ripe cherries!

Absolutely gorgeous painting. Your use of colour has created an amazing light. Very imaginative.

Less than an hour a board, I think that workshop is not for slowpokes like me! This is superb, Satu - so economical in your brushwork but all the planes are brilliantly captured. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Strong, confident work Satu and what shine on those cherries!

Striking composition Satu!

Thank you all so very much!! Such a lovely surprise to see those lovely comments.

Luscious cherries Satu. Great red.

Simple but effective, I like the split blue and white background.

A really satisfying painting - look forward to the others.

Stunning. I love the way you've painted this.

This has great impact, Satu. Strong colours and equally strong shapes make this painting pack a real punch. Well done,

Thank you all very much for your kind comments!

Brilliant Satu, such great colours and textures

Simple and stunning Satu.

Fantastic still life Satu (all of them!)

Congratulations Satu, this was one of my favourites.

Thank you Michelle,Ros, Val, Petra and Marjorie for your kind comments!

Congratulations Satu! Fantastic work

Marjorie and Petra, I only just now realised that the Cherries are on the front page! Thank you very much for your good wishes!

In addition to being expressive and inviting, this work is so 'painterly' - the fingerprint of a true artistic sensibility. I hope someone got to bite one on Valentine's Day!

Thank you Kim for your very kind comment. Coming fron a great artist like you, it means a lot to me.

I attended Jamel Akib's workshop last Wednesday and had a wonderful and very busy day. The subject was still life and goal was to paint six small boards in five hours. I managed only five and this the first of them.
