Black-tailed Godwit

The weather here is not too bad either. We just spent the morning by the seaside and I even had a swim!? This painting is also beautiful in its simplicity, your use of colours,shapes and textures. For me, you just seem to get it just right.

Lovely Satu, bird paintings always attract me and I lreally like this!

Rather a classy looking bird Satu!

I like it for the beautiful colours and how they change in the background and also the character the bird has. I am not sure whether to look up a black tailed godwit or whether that will spoil the magic of the painting.

What a super pose you have portrayed this bird in Satu, that proud stance together with the long neck and beak, as you say yourself, makes for a lovely characterful portrait
