Satu, I think you have interpreted your original painting so well! You have kept the looseness and to me it is a far more expressive than my iPad art is. I have tried, in the article I have done for the e-letter, to be a bit looser and would be interested to hear what you think. Well done!

Well done, Satu. I hope you had fun. I like the colours and the softness of the cotton grass.

A lovely interpretation of your cotton grass painting Satu.

Thank you Christine, Sian and Val for your encouraging comments. Waiting for the e-letter to arrive Christine!

Hi Satu, Thank you for your lovely comment about my iPad article. I think that the Brushes App has changed from the one I purchased originally. The layers were built in so you didn't need to purchase them separately. I've looked at the newer version and don't think it is so user friendly as the original. I downloaded a user manual for my version which I did find extremely useful to get me going. Maybe there is one for the Brushes App that you have. Another App that I've heard good reports about is ArtRage, I've downloaded it myself and it looks very good although, as yet, I haven't experimented very much with it. Happy Painting!

This is fun! I do not know how you achieve this but I love the effect! Colours and softness.

Thank you Christine and Beatrice!

Hi Satu, Ros P here thanks for your lovely comment on my Wednesday cat pastel portrait it is much appreciated, I enjoyed doing the portrait and it is really good to get comments saying people like it, we all need that encouragement eh! Like your I-pad rendition of this Cottongrass as well as the other version that you did, interesting to see both types

Here is an iPad version of my previous painting of cottongrass. Christine Davies challenged me to do it and of course I couldn't resist. I have only had my iPad for three weeks so the result is very poor. Now Christine it's your turn! Show us how to do the job properly.
