Clever idea, and beautifully painted. Problem to display? I imagine it must be very heavy, and wonder how you'd show it.

Thanks for all the great comments. In answer to a few questions, this one is about 12" wide by 7" high, very heavy but stands up as you see it as it is about 2" deep with a flat edge. Looks great on a window sill or shelf.

This is an oil painting on a piece of polished granite. I stumbled into this when a Club competition subject was 'Granite' and my husband suggested painting on granite rather than a picture of it and it developed from there. Now I do these quite often, they're quite effective I think and an alternative to hanging a painting on the wall.
