Early autumn, Tittensor by Sarah Stanley

Very good blending Sarah.

Gorgeous Sarah.

Interesting the way you softened early fall colors to unify with whole and not jump around with bright colors. I like the very dark on bottom third and the lovely sky. The painting is calming and beautiful.

Beautiful Sarah. I love your work!

Absolutely stunning Sarah

Very evocative of Autumn, the colours are lovely.

You've blended the paint, or just applied it so softly, that there are none of the hard edges that I do tend to look for since they make paintings stand out on the Gallery page; but you have that intense dark, where the path curves into the trees. That, and the darker banks of trees in the distance, make the whole thing pull together in a very convincing whole. I've looked at this for some little time - frankly, I'm getting lost in it! It is a deeply pleasing painting.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments.

I have always enjoyed messing with paint in many mediums and draw inspiration from various subjects. I do commissioned pet portraits in pastel on velour paper and oils. But the thing I enjoy most is oil painting en plein air and still life. I am inspired by Victorian and contemporary Impressionism…
