This painting took form only after I'd started mixing my paints on the canvas. I created it mostly with a palette knife. When I saw the form of a river that had appeared I made a little more of the foreground and background to complement it.

Sarah Jarvis
I have only been painting for about 3 years. I started with acrylics and love the strong colours and the ability to build different textures. I am now starting to look at watercolour but am finding it difficult but fun. I have so much to learn but loving it.
