I like both of these paintings and the panoramic views you show. This one gives a great view of the ruggedness of the mountain and the other does have a lovely lighting effect on the mountains. What is the size of these paintings?

Hello Crispian, both these paintings are shown on my website as 50x22.7cm, but Snowdon from Cael is actually 61x23cm it has more trees to the left and slopes of the Glyders to the right, but it stil looks okay in the framed size. My website address is www.sandrahugill.com

I agree with Crispian Sandra, I also just love the crispness you have captured .(Are Alkyd oils water based?)

Hi Jim, Unfortunately no they still require White Spirit or sansodor to thin and clean the brushes. I use small head flexible brushes to get the fine ridges on the mountains, sometimes flats, or filberts

Gorgeous mountains and fells Sandra, this is you at your best, your colours and the sharpness of your mountains and rocks

Lovely painting Sandra. I walked along the ridge at Crib Goch. Vary scary at the pinicles.

The ruggedness is captured beautifully in these mountains.

One of my favourite paintings and reminder of a brilliant Feb day out in Snowdonia. Painted in Alkyd Oils, on Daler Board, from a photo back home, it was too cold on the day.
