Gorgeous - do you prepare the slate before you paint Sandra. I would be reluctant to hide the beauty of the slate by putting it in a frame, but of course you have to protect it.

Hi thanks for your comments, I just wash it then when its finished add a matt varnish..... I have float mounted it in an 'open' box frame so you can see the slate still as you mentioned Adele its nice to see the slate edges too :)
